Verrezzano Bridge

The inventive and creative Anthony Lepore of Ferrara's supervised the week-long construction of this unique Verrazzano Bridge sculpture in sugar, celebrating the new bridge in 1965.

The glucose bridge was on display at Staten Island's Tavern on the Green, owned by Dominic "Dee" Coppotelli (left). Also admiring the bridge were Anthony Pietracatelli (center) and James Scali.
